We had many plumbing issues with the property where the toilet would not flush and the showers would not drain.

After arriving home all of our clothing and everything we had taken smelled of mildew. I do understand it is a very high humidity because you’re right by the beach but the AC unit or filters need to beLooked at and cleaned. Stepping into the property we noticed that there were ants downstairs and that it had a pretty strong smell of mildew. Our initial reaction was disappointment when we learned that the garage was not part of the unit and not accessible for us to use. The property was not quite as nice as the pictures had made it to be. For the same price you can rent something much nicer just down the street. Floor was still dirty, my grandsons feet were black from walking on the floor. The rental was nice, beds were squeaky and uncomfortable. With all that in mind we will not be renting from them again.

They did reimburse us for the two loads of groceries that spoiled. They refunded us the days we were supposed to stay but not the days we were there without a fridge. The next day we decided to leave because nothing was being done to fix the big fridge. We packed the mini fridge with our bare essentials, breast milk and regular milk for the babies. We spoke to the rental agency again they sent someone out with a mini fridge. Later that night it stopped working again, spoiling those groceries along with breast milk for my granddaughter. We called they promised to send someone out, after about three hours the fridge started working again, so we went back to the store and bought groceries again. This time two days into our vacation the refrigerator quit working spoiling $400 worth of groceries. We booked through them again even though we knew better.

The first time they canceled our summer reservation two days before our arrival leaving us scrambling to find other accommodations. This is our second time renting, or should I say attempting to rent from padre escapes, both leading to a terrible vacation.

The guest must have a State Driver's License or other acceptable ID. Contracting guests of Padre Escapes must be 25 years of age or older. We inspect every property to make sure it is up to standard and ready for your family's arrival. These complimentary amenities are provided in the property as a convenience until you can go shopping: hand/bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags, a sponge, and one make-up wipe per bathroom. Every property is stocked with bath towels & washcloths for the maximum occupancy of the property along with one hand towel per bathroom. We use disinfecting products that meet or exceed CDC performance standards. After every stay we replace all towels & linens (including the comforter, which most people don't do) with clean towels & linens from our 5500sf laundry facility where they are washed in temps of at least 60sC/140sF, exceeding CDC recommendations. Padre Escapes promises to launder every comforter, every sheet, every TIME! From the living area you can step out on the private balcony and enjoy a great view of the beach and gulf.

On the other side of the kitchen, you'll find the comfy living area, large flat screen TV and one of the best views on the island. Just off the dining area is a private balcony that has a great view of the dunes, pool area and Gulf of Mexico. To your right you will find the dining area with a long table that will easily accommodates a large group. As you make your way up the stairs, you'll see the galley style kitchen that comes well-equipped with all-new modern appliances and everything you'll need to cook three meals a day.
